We believe that as we gather together to worship, God is with us in a profound way. For this reason, our Sunday meetings are a key part of church life, enabling us to grow in our understanding and experience of God’s life-giving love and power.

What to Expect

We welcome everyone and aim to make our meetings as relaxed and as visitor-friendly as we can. We start at 10:30am with a brief introduction and explanation of what is going to happen, then have a time of sung worship led by a contemporary band. During this time people are free to stand, sit, just observe, or engage in worship however they feel most comfortable. At 10:50am the children’s activities start and parents are able to drop their children off there if they want to. Each week there is a relevant talk from the Bible which will encourage application to our lives. We end the meeting at around 12 noon, often with a song and an opportunity for prayer. Then afterwards there is plenty of time to stay around and get to know people better over tea and coffee .

Children and Youth

At King’s, we are passionate about helping our children discover and grow in their relationship with God. Jesus welcomed and blessed children, and told his disciples not to get in their way. We aim to provide children with something that is accessible and meaningful, whatever their age, showing them that Jesus is real and that He cares for them.

For our under 3s and their grown-ups, we have a crèche room available, with a live feed to the main meeting. We’ve got plenty of toys to keep our littlest ones entertained, as well as some Bible stories to enjoy.

King's Kids

Our 3-11s meet together each week as King’s Kids. We worship and have a story together, and then split into three age groups (Sparks, Flames and Blaze) for activities. We aim to create an environment where our children can worship and encounter God together, learning from the Bible and discovering how to live as disciples of Jesus.

For our secondary school age children, Youth provides an opportunity to discuss life and faith, helping our young people develop their growing relationship with Jesus. We also encourage our young people to get involved in church life through serving in various ways, including with audio-visuals and helping the younger children in King’s Kids.

All of the children's teams are DBS checked and adhere to the King's Church Leicester Safeguarding Policy.
